History: Sam grew up in a quiet little mountain town in northeast Colorado with his parents. His mom was a doctor and his dad was an Air Force pilot, so work prevented them from spending as much time with him as they would've liked. However, Corey and Hayley tried their best to balance their work responsibilities with their parenting ones. On Sam's 11th birthday, he met a Wisp named Niko. The two bonded, and have been best friends ever since. All in all, Sam had a nice childhood up until he was 13. The Waltons were flying back home from a vacation in Florida, when the plane was struck by lightning and crashed. Sam was one of the survivors, but both of his parents died. He's had aviophobia ever since. Sam went to live with his uncle Lucas, and practiced his powers with Niko to keep his mind off of his parents' death. After a few years, an Academy scout appeared and offered to take Sam to a school where he would meet a bunch of other kids who had powers like he did. Sam was hesitant to leave the only family he had left, but some extra encouragement from Lucas and Niko pushed Sam to accept the invitation to the Academy.

Physical Appearance: Sam is about 5'11, with a slim athletic build. He is biracial (1/2 Black, 1/2 White), and his hair is black and cut low, but curly. His eyes are a greyish-green color. Sam usually wears old rock band t-shirts and jeans, with a pair of sneakers, a leather bomber jacket, and a Colorado Rockies starter cap. He also always wears his father's dog tags tucked under his shirt wherever he goes.

Personality: Sam has always been the comedian around his friends. He occasionally got on their nerves, but they came to love his humor. He's sobered up since the plane crash, but still retains his comedic personality. He shows respect to those he believes deserve it, though he has to remind himself to respect people with authority over him like his father wanted him to. Sam is also extremely territorial. He doesn't mind other people using his things, but only if they ask him first. Otherwise, he gets deadly serious and will go off on just about anyone.

Wisp: Niko is sarcastic and cynical, much like Sam. It's part of the reason they've been such good friends over the years.  That and their shared passion for classic rock and vanilla cake. Niko is a bit impulsive and scatterbrained, often choosing to act on instinct rather than crafting a plan.

Wisp Class: Elemental

Powers: Sam's power is electrokinesis, which he can use to shock others by either touching them or blasting them with essentially scaled-down lightning, and transform his body into electricity in order to travel through electrical structures (phone and power lines, wall outlets, etc.). Sam can technically use his own bioelectricity to augment his attacks, but it's extremely dangerous, so he only uses electricity from external sources (generators, lightning, etc.), and carries a personal stun gun in case he ever runs out of juice. Sam's speed, reflexes, durability, and attack strength are all influenced by the amount of electricity he has available to him.

Weakness: Strictly relating to his powers, Sam's powers are weakened by materials that resist electricity, like wood or plastic. He can still get wet, but using his powers underwater would fry him and everyone else around. Sam's power is also susceptible to lightning rods and the like. Aside from that, he's extremely sensitive about his parents' death. Bringing it up makes him testy, but he forgives the occasional slip of the tongue.

Talents: Sam is a great guitarist, and has played since he was 8. He's also fairly athletic, and very adept when dealing with electronics.

Other: Sam really likes Italian food, and mixes (non-alcoholic) drinks together a lot.

Alright, good looking app. The only problems lie within the powers section. After a discussion with staff, we're saying:

Nay to the electricity form and flying. We really don't see how the flying has anything to do with the electricity bit--plus, didn't you say he was aviophobic anyway? Seems like he wouldn't want to fly.

In lo of taking out the electricity form, however, it was okayed that he would be able to use it as a transportability form, if you like, by turning into electricity to go through outlets and such. But no "pure energy form" outside of wires and such. Also, we're thinking for the speed, reflexes, durability, and strength bit, it would be more of an effect of being "supercharged" by the electricity he can charge himself with/use, etc.

We see that as being more believable, and less of a concern. Other than that, looks good! We'll take another look once you've edited it.

Alright, kinda figured the transforming was a little over the top. I also added another personal weakness for good measure, since that section seemed a bit paltry

Did you take the water weakness out? 'Cause I liked that. Considering water and electricity don't mix as a general thing. But other than that, looks good! Approved. Just wait for one more staff to approve.
